Grant Fletcher of Fleet Feet Syracuse shares the story of how he went from baseball player to marathon runner. In 2014, the furthest Grant had ever run was 90 feet between bases. When a charity opportunity came along and someone finally said "put up or shut up," he had one question: could he become a distance runner in seven months? He turned to Fleet Feet, went through the outfitting process, joined their distance training program, and crossed the finish line of the full Marine Corps Marathon — his very first race ever — in honor of his father, a United States Marine. It is a powerful reminder of what is possible when you have the right support, the right shoes, and the right community behind you.
