The Crouse Health NICU serves 14 counties, stretching all the way from Binghamton to Massena, supporting the tiniest and most vulnerable patients. About 70% of all neonatal births in the region happen there, with a team of 17 affiliate hospitals helping transport patients in need of life-saving care. Some families know early in pregnancy that the NICU will be part of their journey, while for others it comes as a complete surprise. Backed by some of the highest-level neonatologists in the field, the unit cares for roughly 900 little fighters every year.
