Dayseeker | 5.6.26 | Buffalo Riverworks | Buffalo, NY |

Last week, we had the wonderful opportunity to catch Dayseeker in Buffalo for their The Pale Moonlight tour. This was just the fifth show of their 20-date run. Alongside them they brought Northlane, Wind Walkers, and Sace6. Four different bands, all complementing the metalcore genre in their own way.

First on the bill was Sace6. From NY + NJ, this duo united in 2024 and was signed to Sumerian Records in early 2026. The show was just three days before the release of their debut album, brutalist. Although they describe themselves as a pop act, Sace6 fuse many different sounds together. They gave us a very interesting blend of metalcore, alternative metal, and pop.

New England metalcore outfit Wind Walkers played second. Formed in 2012, they signed to Fearless Records last April. In October they released a new EP, I Don’t Belong Here. They played a handful of tracks from that, but still pulled songs from earlier in their catalog too. Wind Walkers’ sound aligns closely with modern metalcore, while also incorporating some pop elements at the same time. A kick on one end, with a soft sensitive bit on the other.

Next up, time for Northlane. Hailing from Sydney, this Aussie group formed back in 2009. Once they took the stage, their presence was remarkable. On April 28th they released a new single, Evian. Pulling from genres like progressive metal and electronic, Northlane certainly landed a heavy blow. They delivered a tasty brew of melodic guitar riffs and punchy synths to Riverworks that night. This was my favorite set of the evening. Last up, we finally had Dayseeker. The California metalcore act brought a fierce energy to the sold-out Buffalo crowd. They released a new album in October called Creature In The Black Night. They played quite a few songs from it on this run, but left room for some of the favorites too. Founded in 2012 in Orange County, Dayseeker hits the formula of today’s metalcore right on the nose. However, like the other artists on this run, they mix a healthy amount of synths in there too. They certainly give it their own little flair. As an extra treat, they filled the stage with plants and greenery for their set! I absolutely loved that.

All the acts on this tour complimented each other well. Each of them blends electronic sounds with metalcore in their own unique way. Additionally, the Buffalo Sabres were playing against the Montreal Canadiens less than a mile down the road! Riverworks had the game on every single TV, knowing Buffalo wouldn’t have it any other way. The crowd roared each time the Sabres scored, and it was certainly a special touch to the evening.
