X Ambassadors returned to their hometown of Ithaca, NY, for a sold-out show at the State Theatre, and it was every bit the homecoming fans hoped for. The band powered through a mix of hits like “Renegades” and “Unsteady,” alongside tracks from their new album Townie — songs inspired by their upstate roots.
Frontman Sam Harris delivered an emotional performance, switching between guitar, keys, and saxophone while sharing memories of growing up in Ithaca. The crowd’s energy made it clear the feeling was mutual.
The night closed with a heartfelt rendition of “Home,” a fitting tribute to the city that helped shape their sound. For one night, Ithaca wasn’t just where it started — it was where it all came full circle.
